After a great deal of market study and the habits of renters, we have selected the two most popular sizes: 8.5x20 & 8.5x10. The selection of these two sizes not only covers the needs of over 90% of the renters studied, they also offer the best return on investment or CAP rate.
When Portable Self Storage rental orders are placed, our units are easy to deliver to a requested site, then allowing the renter/client to fill their unit at their own pace, and having the option of leaving the unit at the site, or move to another site, or returned to the franchise holders main storage area for longer time storage.
Because all units are totally portable and their strong undercarriages and frames are constructed of top quality steel, necessary to meet the high standards of D.O.T., and because they are sheeted with top quality aluminum, each units creates a strong, sturdy, water tight enclosure with a lonE g rent producing life. And, this allows the unit(s) to go anywhere needed. And in most cases standard towing is all that is necessary, we have eliminated the need and cost of heavy trucks, fork lifts, special operators and many other associated cost, which are not necessary with PORTABLE SELF-STORAGE Of AMERICA.
At PORTABLE SELF STORAGE OF AMERICA, our portable storage units are factory assembled under very ridge quality controls, beginning with a strong steel undercarriage and frame. Then they are wrapped with sheet aluminum for extra long life, while still offering ease of handling. All units have a hinged- spring assisted pull down rear ramp (door) for extra customer loading benefits resulting in easy loading, with no heavy lifting for complete customer satisfaction.
Units are rented for any period, from one day to forever, depending on what the customers needs are. And the rents reflect the daily rental of the unit, delivery fees, insurance, pickup fees, deposits, and lot storage fees, again, depending on the needs of the customer. In most markets, it is projected that the initial rental fee will be about $200.00 (1 to 30 days), and then renewed based on rents for the areas (market value).
For the business plan to work for the investors benefit, we suggest that most areas start with an initial number of units of from twenty (20) to thirty (30) units. And then grow to fit the needs of the service area.
