Definition GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating:
It’s how much weight a vehicle/trailer is designed to carry. The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, cargo and any additional accessories. The GVWR is a safety standard used to prevent overloading.
Definition GAWR = Gross Axle Weight Rating:
Means the maximum permissible loaded weight a specific axle(s)
are designed to carry.
Definition PAYLOAD:
The difference between the gross weight of the trailer and its unladen weight, ie The load carrying capacity.
Definition CURB WEIGHT:
Is the weight of the unit as it is sitting on the lot, without the personal load you will be adding.
